Key Accountabilities
- Provide effective administration support for MA (Social Sciences) students, responding to incoming enquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with proactive activities designed to support students during key points of the student journey e.g. Registration and Enrolment, progression etc.
- Work closely with school administrative staff and Chief/Senior advisors to amend and maintain academic programmes and plans
- Provide accurate reporting inputs for meetings and committees chaired by the College’s Learning and Teaching teams, including Boards of Studies, progression committees etc.
- Liaise with and signpost students to relevant University services to ensure they receive appropriate wellbeing support alongside academic support provided by the academic advising network.
The Person - Essential
- Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework Level 7 (Advanced Higher / Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3, Higher National Certificate) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.
- Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this post, having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role.
- Knowledge of the main University student support and administrative systems (including My Campus, Ivanti and Qlkiview) and Microsoft Office suite of packages including Excel, Work and Outlook.
- E1 Experience of delivering/exceeding results within a service-led organisation.
- Experience of dealing directly with customers/service users.
